Meet the Henkes...

So, possibly as the final family outing before I leave for England, my family and I went to see "Meet the Fockers" last night. http://meetthefockers.com/index.php It was hilarious! Ben Stiller is great.. to go from playing the bad guy in "Dodgeball" to his roll as Gaylord Focker. Amazing! ha.

On another note...
Kristin, Jenni, Leigh, and I went to FiredUp! in Evansville yesterday. It's a pottery place where you pick out a piece to clean and paint. They'll fire it for you, and you come back a week later with a beautiful glazed masterpiece. We went last year as well, and we're sort of making it an annual thing. A little bonding over the crafts you might say. Kristin, Jenni, and Leigh are a few of my best friends from high school... it's always fun to "catch-up" and see what's going on in everyone's hectic lives.

Well, I'm off to Evansville AGAIN! Nate's going with me... we're going to shop, eat, and hopefully meet up with some UE friends.

Am I really going to do this?!?

It's 10 mins 'til 2:00 a.m. . . I'm just thinking about what lies before me these next four months. I'm leaving in 9 days for England. For England!! Can you believe that?! Sure, I've done my share of traveling (China, Hawaii, Australia), but those trips lasted 2 weeks, max! Now we're talking about 4 months in a foreign country that, honestly, I know very little about.

Will there be time to get homesick? I'm sure there will.... but I'll have a number of friends at Harlaxton College with me, along with my studies and those costly weekend travels.... all of these things will surely occupy some time. I know I'll be fine. This is the opportunity of a lifetime, I don't want it to pass me by while I sit back and worry. Ready or not....
